Virtual oscilloscopes combine the powerful computing and processing ability of computers with the signal acquisition and control ability of general hardware instruments, so as to realize the functions and friendly interfaces that general oscilloscopes cannot achieve, and make up for the shortcomings of traditional oscilloscopes, such as single function, huge volume, inconvenient carrying and expensive price. With the development of computer technology, the requirement of intelligent and miniaturized virtual instrument is higher and higher. With the development of embedded system, the embedded virtual instrument based on embedded microprocessor and real-time operating system can meet the needs of portable virtual instrument in bad working environment. At the same time, the instrument based on USB bus overcomes the shortcomings of existing PC bus virtual instrument, and can meet the requirements of automatic industrial measurement, especially suitable for field signal test.
Most commonly used virtual instruments use PCI or isa slots, but the number of acquisition cards is generally limited, so when building a system, only specific computers can be specified or special acquisition cards can be embedded, but some devices do not support PCI or ISA bus at all, this built-in form is easy to be affected by high-frequency interference in the PC box, reducing the sampling accuracy and stability of the system. If the whole system can be external, it can not only improve the sampling accuracy and stability of the system, but also enhance the flexibility of the system, at the same time, it is conducive to the maintenance of the system.
