What is RJ45 network port? Details of RJ45 network port

RJ45 is a kind of connector of information socket (i.e. communication outlet) in wiring system. The connector consists of plug (connector, crystal head) and socket (module). The plug has 8 grooves and 8 contacts. RJ is the abbreviation of registered jack, which means "registered socket". In FCC (Federal Communications Commission standards and regulations), RJ describes the interface of public telecommunication network, and RJ45 of computer network is the common name of standard 8-bit modular interface.
RJ45 network port principle
RJ45 is composed of plug and socket. The connector composed of these two components is connected between the wires to realize the electrical continuity of the wires. The core of RJ45 module is modular jack. The gold-plated wire or socket hole can maintain a stable and reliable electrical connection with the modular socket spring. Due to the friction between the shrapnel and the inserting hole, the electric contact is further strengthened with the insertion of the plug.
The main body of the jack is designed with the overall locking mechanism, so that when the modular plug is inserted, the maximum drawing strength can be generated outside the interface between the plug and the jack. The wiring module on the RJ45 module connects the twisted pair through the "U" type wiring slot, and the locking spring piece can fix the RJ45 module on the information outlet device such as the panel.
RJ45 network port line sequence connection
There are two structures of t568a or t568b between the information module or RJ45 connector and the twisted pair. In t568a, the eight lines connected with it are respectively defined as: white green, green; white orange, blue; white blue, orange; white brown, brown. In t568b, the eight lines connected with it are respectively defined as: white orange, orange; white green, blue; white blue, green; white brown, brown.
The differential transmission lines defined are white orange and orange cables, white green and green cables, white blue and blue cables, white brown and brown cables. In order to achieve the best compatibility, t568b standard is generally used in the production of straight line. The serial number of RJ45 Crystal Pin shall be observed as follows: face the RJ45 plug (the side with copper pin) to itself, one end with copper pin to the top, one end of connecting cable to the bottom, and number 8 copper pins from left to right as 1-8.
The corresponding sequence from pilot 1 to pilot 8 is: t568a: ① white green, ② green, ③ white orange, ④ blue, ⑤ white blue, ⑥ orange, ⑦ white brown, ⑧ Brown

There is no essential difference between the two international standards, but the difference in color. It should be noted that when connecting two RJ45 crystal heads, it must be ensured that: 1. Two pairs of feet are a pair, 3. Six pairs are a pair, 4. Five pairs are a pair, 7. Eight pairs are a pair. In the same generic cabling system project, only one connection standard can be used. Generally, TIA / eia-568-b standard is used to make connecting wires, sockets, distribution frames, etc., otherwise, it shall be clearly marked.
The cable shall be terminated with similar connecting devices. For example, category 5E and category 6 connectors are similar in appearance, but differ in physical mechanism. If a category 5E cable is terminated with a category 3 standard connector or patch panel, the performance of the cable channel will be reduced to category 3. So in order to ensure the performance of the cable, the module connector must also meet the corresponding standards. Network transmission line is divided into straight line, cross line and full reverse line.
Straight through lines are used for interconnection between heterogeneous network devices, such as computers and switches. Crossovers are used for interconnection between the same network devices, such as computers and computers. The full reverse line is used to connect the control physical interface between the HyperTerminal and the network equipment.
Definition of RJ45 network port pin
There are two types of common RJ45 interfaces: DTE (data terminal equipment) for Ethernet card, router Ethernet interface and DCE (digital communication equipment) for switch. When two devices of the same type use RJ45 interface to connect communication, cross line connection must be used. If DTE type interface and DTE type interface are connected without cross connecting pins, the pins of the contact are all data receiving (sending) pins and cannot communicate.

Technical description of RJ45 performance: when the contact resistance is 2.5m Ω, the insulation resistance is 1000m Ω, and the electrical resistance is DC1000V (ac700v), there is no breakdown and arc in one minute; the surface of the clamp reed is plated with gold or silver, and the wiring diameter is 0.4mm-0.6mm; the plug and socket can be repeatedly inserted and inserted no less than 750 times; the 8-wire contact pin is plated with gold 509 (inch).
In these performance requirements, crosstalk is an important factor considered in the design. In order to make the whole link have better transmission performance, crosstalk cancellation technology is often used in the socket. Crosstalk cancellation technology can produce crosstalk signals with the same size and opposite polarity as the interference introduced from the plug to cancel crosstalk.
